Everything started when I was born in Manhattan NY, on February 14th, 2008, better known as Valentine’s Day. I don’t remember being a baby, but I do remember my first day of kindergarten. I was so excited! I was wearing my purple dress with pink polka dots and my red saltwater sandals. Fast forward a year and a half, and I am starting my first day of first grade in Utah. I started late in January, and I didn’t know anyone. At recess, I didn’t hang out with anyone because I was so scared. Then, this girl named Noelle came up to me and said, “Hi! My name’s Noelle! You’re new right? Do you want to play with us?” of course I agreed, and Nine years later, we’re still best friends. Three years later I started fourth grade. There was a kind looking girl sitting all by herself. I had never seen her before, so I figured she was new. I sat with her, and we hit it off instantly. Now I had two friends! Noelle and Cora. In fourth grade when my birthday rolled around, I had made a big decision. I was turning ten and it was time to get my ears pierced. I invited Noelle and Cora. (We all became best friends). All of us were terrified. Noelle went first, then Me, and then Cora. We were there for a while, and my mom and my friends’ moms started talking. One thing led to another, and it turns out that me and Cora are 2nd cousins once removed. 6th grade was kind of a blur. We did a Shakespeare play, but then Covid hit. The rest of the year was online, and I had no idea how long it would last. 7th grade was my least favorite school year. We were all online for most of the year. I didn’t enjoy that very much. But when we could finally come back in person, I made so many new friends!8th grade was so fun! We were finally able to go back to school, and I had such a fun time! I was a lead (middle Elsa) in the Clayton Middle School frozen jr. play, and I got to know everyone so much better!I am currently in 9th grade, and I have been really enjoying East High School so far. Now I have a huge friend group and we are all super close! These are going to be a great 4 years!
