AAPI Hate Crimes

Due to the pandemic, many people have been targeting people of Asian and Pacific Islander descent. Though this is a nationally spread issue, we feel that our student population can combat this in our own local community. According to the Stop AAPI Hate website, there are many ways each of us can help, some of which are reporting instances of AAPI hate, being informed on what is happening and why, donating to causes working to combat AAPI hate and local efforts, being civically engaged in your local community, supporting Ethnic Studies in your communities, supporting Asian American businesses, and more. Learn about this issue. Talk about this issue. Nothing can change if the issue of Anti-Asian hate is not visible.
